Training videos and their companion discussion guides are an effective resource to train current and new staff and volunteers in best practices for preference-based care. Videos demonstrate interviewing methods, ways to involve family or friends in preference assessment when older adults cannot provide the information directly, as well as care planning meeting facilitation and other key topics.
